1. Parties and role
JPS168 matches clients with independent freelancers based in the Philippines and may be appointed to collect, hold and release milestone payments. We do not employ the developers and we do not perform the development work. The development contract is between the client and the developer.
2. Not a licensed escrow bank product
References to holding funds, “milestone protection” or similar describe our collection-agent process under these terms. They do not mean JPS168 is a bank or a government-licensed escrow institution. Do not rely on marketing language that suggests otherwise.
3. Matching
Submitting a Hire or Join form does not create a development contract. Shortlists are best-effort introductions. We may decline projects or applicants that do not fit our vetting or capacity. Matching itself is free; a service fee applies only to funded milestones when you proceed, as confirmed in writing before signing.
4. Milestone funding and release
- Clients fund one milestone at a time.
- Funds for a milestone are kept separate from JPS168’s operating account to the extent practical under the payment provider and banking setup then in use.
- After delivery, the client has a 7-day review window to approve or request revisions aligned with the agreed milestone scope.
- On approval, JPS168 releases the developer’s amount (payouts typically in PHP) and shows the service fee as a separate line on receipts.
- If there is no client response, we contact the client before any release.
5. Revisions, disputes and refunds
If delivery does not meet the agreed milestone scope, the developer revises before payment. During a dispute, funds stay on hold while we mediate in good faith. If the work cannot be completed, the unreleased milestone amount is refunded to the client, less non-refundable payment-processing costs where the provider does not reverse them. Released milestones are generally not reversible except where required by law or clear mutual error.
6. Fees and processing
The service fee percentage or amount is quoted per project and confirmed in writing before you fund. Payment processing and FX charges from providers are passed through at cost without markup, unless a written quote states otherwise.
7. Freelancers
Freelancers are independent contractors, not employees of JPS168. They are responsible for their own BIR registration, taxes and professional obligations. Vetting (identity, interview, references, tax status) is a condition of paid work through our matching process.
8. Client responsibilities
Clients must provide accurate briefs, timely feedback within the review window, and lawful use of deliverables. Clients are responsible for their own tax and contracting requirements in their jurisdiction.
9. No warranties on outcomes
We introduce vetted talent and operate payment rules; we do not warrant that a project will succeed commercially or that a particular developer will be available indefinitely. Development quality obligations sit in the client–developer contract.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JPS168’s total liability arising from matching or payment-collection services for a given engagement is limited to the service fees actually paid to JPS168 for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Site content
Example ledgers and sample amounts on the marketing site are illustrations only, not live client data. Do not treat them as offers or guarantees.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above will change when we do. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms for new submissions. Contact: use the email published on your live domain.
